Traveling directly and comfortably to Venice by train

As of 10th of December, when new timetable goes into effect, “Serbian Railways” will introduce in traffic three reconstructed couchette wagons on the railway route Belgrade – Venice, said the Director of Passenger Transport Department Miroslav Stojcic, in his statement for Media Center.

The wagons have six sleeping berths, and have been reconstructed and redesigned, with comfort and luxurious equipment. The entire project has been performed in “Gosa” Factory in Smederevo.

Stojcic emphasized that, after a break of several years, Serbian railways are re-establishing the connection between Belgrade and Venice.

– Couchette wagons will be included into the train “Nikola Tesla”, departing from Belgrade at 15.45, while the wagons are being attached in Zagreb into the train “Venice”. Arrival at the Venice S.L. Station is planed for 7.16 – specified Stojcic.

Return from Venice is planed for 21.4, and the train arrives in Belgrade at 12.16.

Adult’s one-way train ticket from Belgrade to Venice costs 55 EUR, while the price for the people under 26 and over 60 years of age is 40 EUR. Children under the age of 15 will have to pay 25 EUR. There is also an additional cost of 14 EUR for a couchette wagon. The price includes breakfast.

Return ticket price is twice as much.
