Traveling by train to Black Sea destinations

International railway lines towards seacoast destinations in Bulgaria and Turkey have been added to transport offer of “Serbian Railways”. Dated coaches to Burgas and Varna in Bulgaria, as well as regular passenger couchette coaches to Istanbul in Turkey will be included – they said at the Passenger Transport Department.

Depending on the number of passengers, in the period from June 10 to September 23, train operating at the section Belgrade-Sofia will have additional direct coach to Varna. The train will depart from Belgrade Railway Station at 9pm, arriving to Varna the next day at 6pm. The same train will be leaving Varna at 12.35pm, arriving to Belgrade at 5.18am.

“Bulgaria Special” offers return train ticket to Varna costing 43,60 EUR (second class) and 65,30 EUR (first class), while the addition for couchette coach amounts 5 and 6 EUR.

From June 14 to September 28, at the section Belgrade-Burgas-Belgrade, one direct coach will be operating every day from Belgrade Railway Station, departing at 8.40am, and arriving to Burgas the next day at 6.58am. The same train will be leaving Burgas Station at 10.35pm, and arriving to Belgrade at 8.36pm.

“Bulgaria Special” offers return train ticket costing 41,40 EUR (second class) and 62,10 EUR (first class), while the addition for couchette coach amounts 5 and 6 EUR.

Train leaving from Belgrade to Sofia every day at 8.40am will have additional direct couchette coach to Istanbul. The train will arrive to Istanbul the next day at 8.24am, and leave the capital of Turkey at 10pm, arriving to Belgrade Railway Station at 8.36pm.

Return train ticket for second and first class coaches will cost 88 EUR and 132 EUR, while the addition for couchette coach amounts 9,40 EUR.

Within the offer “Balkan Flexipass” persons under the age of 26 can buy train ticket for 49 EUR, if the journey last up to five days. This offer also includes an opportunity to travel from 10 to 15 days. In that case, ticket price depends on the duration of journey.

Return ticket for children under the age of 12, for all destinations is twice cheaper than the adult’s one, they said at the Passenger Transport Department of Serbian Railways.
