The International Scientific Gathering „Globalization and Environment“ shall be opened on Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at 09:00 A.M., in the Great Hall of PE “Serbian Railways” Headquarters.
The scientific gathering lasts from April 22-24, and 170 experts from the country and from abroad confirmed their participation.

The organizer of the Gathering is Scientific-expert Society for Environmental Protection of Serbia – ECOLOGICA, in cooperation with a large number of domestic and foreign organizations, institutions and societies, under the patronage of Ministry for Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia.

The International Scientific Gathering is devoted to the Global Planet Earth Day and the influence of the globalization on the environmental and society changes.

The Gathering Program contains a large number of topics and the entire issue of environment protection in the globalization conditions, with usage of renewable resources and new technologies. The Program comprises the following topics: Global ecological problems; Risk estimation end management, pollution, bio-indicators and standards; New technologies for environment protection; The influence of globalization on transport; Globalization, sustainability and education; Globalization and regional pollution; Renewable energy resources and natural resources; Globalization in eco-tourism, marketing and law.

The scientific gathering is convened for all the experts in the field of environmental protection and everyone with a responsible attitude towards the environment protection.

The representatives of the Ministry for Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry for Environmental Protection and Urban Planning of the Republic of Serbia, as well as the representatives of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia and Chamber of Commerce of Belgrade, are invited.
