The first departure of the museum train “Nostalgija” on Shargan Eight is on Easter Sunday this season

The traffic season of the museum train “Nostalgija” on “Shargan Eight” officially starts on Easter Sunday, April 15th, with the first departure this year at 10:30am. Every day will be organized two departures at 10.30am and at 13.30pm on the route Mokra Gora-Sargan Vitasi-Mokra Gora. Depending on the interest of the passengers, two extra departures will be organized, one in the morning at 8am, and one in the afternoon at 16.10pm. Summer traffic season of the museum train on “Sharagan Eight” ends on October, 31, 2012.

“Nostalgija” train will also operate during the winter from December, 15, 2012 till January, 25, 2013.

During the last summer and winter season, the famous “Cira” train has transported almost 80 thousand passengers using the narrow gauge railway line in Mokra Gora, and this year it is expected, that 100 thousand passengers will be transported on the “Shargan Eight”.

Ticket prices for the “Nostalgija” train on “Sharagan Eight” remain unchanged comparing to last year season. So the ticket price for adults is RSD600, for children between 6 and 14 years of age RSD300, while the youngest get free ticket.

The museum train can also be rented for the tours on the routes Mokra Gora-Sharagan Vistasi-Mokra Gora and Mokra Gora-Visegrad -Mokra Gora. The rent price is the same for both routes, and that is RSD60 thousand for diesel traction i.e. RSD120thousand for steam traction.

Tickets for “Nostalgija” train can be bought at the passenger ticket-offices at railway stations in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Nis and Mokra Gora, and in some tourist agencies.

“Serbian Railways” in Mokra Gora have on their disposal accommodation capacities in the “Mokra Gora” motel, the “Eight” motel and in mountain cabins. There are 60 beds for tourists in double and triple rooms, as well as in the apartments. Accommodation prices remain unchanged comparing to the season 2011, and are ranging from RSD1 400 to RSD9000, depending on the room category.

In the restaurants of the museum tourist complex “Shargan Eight” the guests have on their disposal half board and full board services. Meal prices in the restaurants are the same as last year, and that is RSD250 for breakfast, RSD500 for lunch and RSD450 for dinner.
