Director General of “Serbian Railways” Milovan Marković and the President of the Board of Directors of Czech company Inekon group, Jozef Hušek have signed a Framework Agreement for implementation of the Project for Reconstruction and Modernization of Niš- Dimitrovgrad Railway Line. The Contract was signed during the visit of the Serbian commercial delegation to the Czech Republic, led by the Prime Minister Mirko Cvetković, during their visit to Prague on 15 and 16 November.

The Framework Agreement was also approved by “Serbian Railways” Management Board at its session held on 15 November.

– Serbian Railways as investor, have estimated that the project will cost EUR 120 million and the guarantees were also given that the funds will be provided within the budget – said Milan Maksimović, Director of “Serbian Railways” Infrastructure Directorate at the Management Board meeting. Five stages of project implementation were defined under the Framework Agreement.

Contract on modernization of Niš-Dimitrovgrad line is a result of agreement between the two governments on promoting the cooperation in the field of infrastructure.
