“Serbian Railways” at Tourism Fair

Serbian Assistent Minister of Trade, Tourism and Services Radivoje Pirgic, opening yesterday the 39th International Tourism Fair in Novi Sad, said that the strategy for tourism development in the forthcoming decade has been adopted. According to his words, this year’s fair is being held in the time when the Financial Board is designing a normative basis for the most important element in tourism development process – law regulation.

“This modified Tourism Law foresees the work of an Agency for Development of this export-oriented economy branch, and it will be acting as a promoter of every tourism development trend”, evaluated Pirgic.

He explained that National Investment Plan for this and next year projects 50 million EUR for tourism.

During the Fair lasting till mid-October, beside rich offer of hoteliers and innkeepers, Gastro Festival will also be held, and the special place has been given to an expert meeting “Balkan integration in tourism”, supported by Republic Ministry.

At the stand in Master Hall, “Serbian Railways” offered numerous tourist programs and travels by “Romantika”, “Blue Train” and international train “Avala”, with particular emphasis to “Sargan Eight”, already declared as a Serbian tourist brand. Several travel concessions have also been promoted, regarding international and domestic traffic. In co-operation with “Zelturist” and “KSR Beogradtours” they offered certain tourist arrangements at railway hotels in Belgrade, Vrnjacka Banja and Vranjska Banja.
