Seasonal train “Jadran expres” starts to operate on July 3

“Serbian Railways”, in cooperation with Croatian Railways, starting from Friday, July 3, introduces again a seasonal train between Belgrade and Split.

In the period between July 3 and September 13, a direct train “Jadran expres”, shall operate once per week, every Friday, on the route Beograd-Split-Beograd, with stopping in Knin.

“Jadran expres” shall depart from main Belgrade railway station on Friday, at 2.50 p.m. (arrival in Split 8.00 a.m), whereas it shall leave Split on Saturdays at 4.00 p.m. It shall arrive in the capital on Sunday morning at 7.15 a.m. U. During 2009 summer season 11 returned running will be organized, with the possibility of additional running on the basis of train lease.

The return journey ticket for 2nd class to Split amounts 69 EUR (in one direction 37 EUR), to Knin 62, i.e. 33 EUR in one direction. Train ticket for the 1st class for return journey to Split is 103 EUR (in one direction 55 EUR), to Knin 91, i.e. 48 EUR in one direction. Children aged 6 years, for whom special places are not booked, do not pay for train ticket, whereas children aged between 6 to 14 pay half price of the train ticket.

Train consists of couchette, sleeping car and car with seats. Berth in couchette is 10 EUR, in single compartment, with obligatory seats reservation in the amount of 2.5 EUR. If need arises, the car for automobile transport can be included, which is charged additional 40 EUR.

Tickets bought for this train shall be valid for passengers who get on and get off in Perkovic station, in local trains of Croatian Railways on the route towards Sibenik and in return.
