Traditional exhibition “Railway in the Eyes of the Children” , which is organized this year for thirtieth time by the Railway Museum, will be officially opened on Wednesday, December 11th, at 12 pm, at the Great Gallery of the Railway Museum (Nemanjina 6), in Belgrade.

Upon invitation of Serbian Railways, this year’s contest was supported by the Russian State Railway Company – “RZD International”, which will, together with the host – “Serbian Railways”, reward the most talented participants in the contest, and the most successful schools will receive painting equipment.

State Railway Company – “RZD International” is in charge for realization of the Russian loan in the amount of $ 800 million, which will be used for modernization of railways in Serbia.
Opening of the exhibition “Railway in the Eyes of the Children 2013”, will be attended, apart from the contest participants, by the “Serbian Railways” Director General Dragoljub Simonović with the Management Board of the Serbian Railways, representatives of RZD International in Serbia, headed by Director General Sergey Aleheyevich Pavlov, and by representatives of appropriate Ministries and other institutions. More than 4000 art works from all over Serbia entered this year’s competition, and awards and diplomas will be assigned in different categories.

This children’s art competition was once the largest competition in the region, and today it is in Serbia. Despite hard economic situation, Serbian Railways wish to preserve this unique event and to motivate pre-school and school children, as well as teachers to develop imagination and to recognize talent in order to promote railways.
