Newly constructed, 400 meters long railway halt at Barajevo Center Station will be open for the traffic on Saturday, December 8, 2007, at 2 pm – they stated at Civil Engineering Department.
During 2002, one platform 110 meters long was constructed at Barajevo Center Station, used only for the service of “Beovoz” Suburban Transport.

During this year, due to the great interest of passengers, Barajevo Municipality and PE “Serbian Railways” agreed to reconstruct and rearrange the existing halt, all in order to enable even the longest train sets, operating from Belgrade to Bar, to stopover at the station.

Reconstruction included the renovation of support walls, implementation of new lightning system and other passengers’ conveniences, assuring as well higher security level. Restricted-speed running will also be eliminated. Running speed will be 50 kilometers per hour.
