Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Tomislav Momirovic talked on 25 November with the Ambassador Chen Bo about realization of the current infrastructure projects, and also about high speed trains procurement until the end of the next year.

The reason for the meeting was completion of the reconstruction of the left railway track on Zemun – Batajnica line in the length of 10.6 km, within the high speed railway line construction project on the Beograd Centar –Stara Pazova section and reopening of the regular train traffic. The subject of the conversation was also realization of the first construction phase of the high speed railway line Beograd – Budapest, as well as further from Belgrade towards Nis, on Railway Corridor 10.

The high speed train procurement was also discussed at the meeting. “I am sure that in the next period, hopefully by the end of the next year, we will have trains that can reach speed of 200 km/h and that our citizens will see the advantages of the railway traffic.”- said Mr. Momirovic.
