For the period of referendum, precisely between 27 and 30 of October, the interest of passengers in railway transport has been increased on entire railway network. At Passenger Transport Department stated that they recorded increased number of passengers traveling from Belgrade towards Uzice, Prijepolje, Nis and Novi Sad as well.

The trains were particularly crowded right before the referendum, in the afternoon of October 27, as well as on Saturday,October 28, when the referendum begun. The crowds repeated again on the lines from Prijepolje, Uzice, Novi Sad, Nis and other major Serbian cities towards Belgrade, particularly in the evening hours on October 30.
