General Assembly of Association of Rail Freight Corridor 10 Plus was held on May 13 in the administration building of “Serbian Railways” in the presence of representatives of Croatian, Slovenian and Austrian railways expert services, as well as members of the Serbian Railways management, which was hosting the meeting.

The meeting issue was development of new Rail Freight Corridor, which will run from Villach, via Graz, Zagreb, Belgrade and Nis till Svilengrad, aiming to increase the volume and quality of freight transport.

During the meeting it was emphasized that the study comprising data on current condition of Corridor, researches and forecast for the next period must be developed, as well as investment draft for Rail Freight Corridor 10 Plus. It is also necessary to form Corridor 10 Plus management i.e. Executive and Management Board according to Article 913 (EU) from 2010.

In addition to existing railway administrations engaged in Corridor 10 Plus development project, Bulgarian national railway Infrastructure Company – NRIC also expressed interest for cooperation.

The next Assembly of Association is scheduled for September 20.
