158 new freight wagons came from Romania

– During little more than three months, “Serbian Railways” took over 158 new freight wagons from Romanian firm “IRS”, and by the end of August 80 more wagons are expected, – it was told in the Traffic Investment Department.

All 770 new contracted freight wagons should come from Romania by the end of this year.

“Serbian Railways” ordered 770 new freight wagons from the Romanian firm “IRS”, owing to the credit of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in the amount of the 57 million euros. It is the first time after quartet of the century that “Serbian Railways” bought new wagons.

These are four-axled opened freight wagons of Eanoss type, primarily intended for the transport of the goods which do not need protection from the atmospheric influences. It is the most wanted type of the freight wagons on the market in the whole Europe, and “Serbian Railways” will use them primarily for the transport in international traffic.

“Serbian Railways” daily miss between 500 and 600 freight wagons of this type in order to completely satisfy the economy needs for the goods transport.
