Serbian Government, on July 2, 2015 adopted a decision on the change of the status of “Serbian Railways”, and the establishment of new joint-stock companies – “Serbian Railways Infrastructure”, “Serbia Train” and “Serbia Cargo”.

Since August 10, 2015, when the Business Registers Agency issued a decision on registration of newly created companies, Serbian Railways continued to exist as four joint stock companies: “Serbian Railways” JSC, Stock Company for the Management of Railway Infrastructure “Infrastructure Railways of Serbia”, JSC for rail transport of goods “Serbian Cargo” and JSC for railway passenger transport “Serbia Train”.

The managment of the “Serbian Railways” JSC is still represented by the board of directors which were appointed by the Assembly of the “Serbian Railways”, and in accordance with the conclusion of the Government of the Republic of Serbia on 17 January 2015.

On the assembly session held on January 17, 2015, for executive directors unanimously were elected Miroslav Stojičić, Rajko Ković and Nenad Kecman. The Executive Board of “Serbian Railways” JSC, during the firstassembly, which was held on 17 January 2015 in Belgrade, for the director general of the company Mr. Miroslav Stojicic was appointed.
The business objectives of “Serbian Railways” JSC are: addressing historical debts of Serbian Railways, addressing surplus of property of Serbian Railways and to support the reform of the railway sector. “Serbian Railways” JSC has cca 130 employees.

The activities of the company “Serbian Railways” JSC are: engineering and technical consulting, consulting activities in the fieldof information technology and other information technology services, buying and selling real estates, and rental and management activities, accounting, bookkeeping and auditing activities , tax advisory services, technical testing and analysis, rental and leasing of other machinery, equipment of non-material goods, activities of the museums, galleries and collections.

The Company may also perform all other activities, jobs and services in domestic and foreign trade, permitted by law, with the consent of the Founder. “Serbian Railways” JSC is founder of the subsidiaries: Department of health care workers of “Serbian Railways”, TrafficInstitute CIP, the Company for the construction of Railway Junction “ Beogradčvor” Association for Combined Transport “Srbijakombi” ŽIT – Railway integral Transport and the Society for the Prevention of disability and vocational training of disabled persons “Workshop”. The Company with the consent of the founders may establish other subsidiaries.
