The Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic Opened for Traffic the Third Reconstructed Section of the Vinarci-Đorđevo Line, between Niš and Preševo

The Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic opened, on April 25, 2017, for traffic the third reconstructed section of the Vinarci-Đorđevo, between Niš and Preševo, what also represents the completion of the reconstruction of this part of the Corridor 10. The Prime Minister has announced modernization of 225 km of railway lines in Serbia, pointing out that that will significantly increase transportation of goods on our railway lines.

The Prime Minister Vucic said that today has been opened the third, “southern”, 15 km long section on railway Corridor 10 and pointed out that the goal is to modernize the whole railway line from Nis to Macedonia.

Total worth of the reconstruction of three southern sections: Priboj Vranjska Banja – Ristovac, Bujanovac – Bukarevac and Vinarci-Đorđevo is $ 30,4 million. Reconstruction of the first two section has started on April 18, 2016, and of the third section on October 20, 2016.

Reconstruction of the three sections is completed and the contractor was the Russian company RŽD International. Subcontractors were national companies „ZGOP“ JSC Novi Sad, „Telefonkabl“JSC and MBA „Ratko Mitrović“ Beograd.

The representative of the contractor RŽD International Andrej Mihajlovic Kalinin said that cooperation with Serbian railway workers and subcontractors was exceptional, what was very important for the completion of the work before the deadline.
