Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, prof. Zorana Mihajlovic PhD, stated that the agreement signed by the President Aleksandar Vucic last week in Washington is of great importance for the entire region. The agreement is also very important because it brings investment in the worth of almost $ 4 billion.

Ms. Mihajlovic said that the Washington agreement brings also further improvement of bilateral relations with the United States, and that she is looking forward to The American Development Agency coming to Serbia.

“Serbia proved that it is a country opened for investment, on our territory there are American, Chinese, Russian, Azerbaijani companies as well as many other successful companies from all over the world. With The American Development Agency we will talk about projects, beside Nis-Merdare-Pristina highway, we will discuss about new highway Bujanovac-Strbac, reconstruction of the roads on Kosovo, construction of the railway line Merdare- Pristina and railway connection. For us is very important to have access also to Albanian harbor, beside Bar harbor. We are an open country and we want progress, because our goal is to provide better life for our people” – said Ms. Mihajlovic.

She reminded that The American Development Agency has the opportunity to invest outside the United States $ 60 billion, and that they are interested to invest in our country. “We need to extract the most important thing for us from that, and that is to build infrastructure,” Mihajlovic added.
