The great multinational company announced its participation in international tender of Serbian railways for procurement of 15 multi-system locomotives in the amount of EUR 65 million, provided from the EBRD loan.

This was announced at the meeting, which was held today in Belgrade by “Serbian Railways” Director General Dragoljub Simonović with „Simens“ delegation in Serbia, headed by Director General Tihomir Rajlić.

Goal of „Serbian Railways“, headed by new management, is to give all tenderers equal opportunity, to conduct all procurements transparently and legally and to give the job to the best and the most favorable participant. Bearing in mind these conditions, „Simens“ can expect equal treatment and opportunity, and if they give the best offer, giving the job to one of the worlds most powerful companies would represent great interest and meaning for Serbian railways, – said “Serbian Railways” Director General Dragoljub Simonović while addressing to „Simens“ representatives in Serbia.

At the meeting it was also pointed out that „Simens“ has worked in Serbia since 1995 and that today it employs few hundreds of people, that the cooperation between this international company and Serbian railways was always successful and in accordance with needs and abilities of railways, as well as that the common and mutual interest is improvement of mutual cooperation.
